McKellar Pioneer College

The McKellar Pioneer College is an initiative of the McKellar Economic Development Committee that seeks to provide classes that celebrate rural heritage and natural knowledge. The Pioneer College is always looking for teachers, participants, and courses. If you would like to teach or participate in a certain course, let us know of your proposed course and we will see if we can offer it!

LEARN TO QUILT held the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 12:30 to 4:00 pm at the Dunchurch Knox United Church. Ongoing support and instruction from local quilting group.  All are welcome and registration is not required.  The cost is $4.00 per month.  Contact Jane Bottrell at (705) 389-2370.

The McKellar Market

This weekly summer market features local producers of farm, agriculture, and craft products from within a 100 mile radius of McKellar.  The Market draws visitors to our community and stimulates public interest in, and consumption of local products.  The Market promotes and encourages both established and new producers.

The McKellar Market is located at Minerva’s Mill Pond Park, 677 Hwy 124, just 20 minutes east of Parry Sound, in the village of McKellar on Saturdays, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm from Canada Day Weekend through to Labour Day Weekend.
