On September 2, 2013, Council approved the use of electronic voting for the October 2014 election. A system offering a choice of internet or telephone voting will be used for the 2014 Municipal Election.
All persons entered on the voters list will be mailed a Voter Information Package during the month of October providing eligible voters on the list with a Personal Identification Number (PIN) which will be used to log into the secure voting system (either by computer or telephone) to vote anonymously.
Voting can take place 24 hours a day from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday October 14, 2014 up until 8:00 p.m. Monday October 27, 2014 from any touch tone phone, cell phone, computer or any device connected to the internet.
If access to a telephone or the internet is unavailable to you during the voting period, you may:
Vote via internet or telephone at the Voter Help Centre (Township Office, 701 Highway #124, McKellar, ON) during regular business hours, or
Vote via internet at the McKellar Township Public Library (701 Hwy #124, McKellar,
ON) during open hours.
If you require assistance with voting, from October 14th to October 27th, please contact our Help Centre in person at Township Office, 701 Hwy #124, McKellar, ON, or by telephone at 705-389-2842, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Please remember to bring your PIN and proof of identity and residence.
